GWAR Las Vegas Concert reviews
Less slayings, yet more meaningful
The death toll was down a little in this show, compared to other GWAR shows I've been to. However, watching the band disembowel Snooki was a special treat.
Not keeping up with GWAR as much as I used to, I was unaware that their guitarist, Flattus Maximus (Corey Smoot), died suddenly a little while back. In their own way, the other members paid their respects to their former band member with, surprisingly touching words. The show ended with them bringing out 'The Worm', something I had never seen and had always hoped to, and the words, "GWAR will never die!"
So, a lot of fun, fair amount of blood and, unexpectedly, a touch of seriousness, of meaning in the performance. They remain about the best show money can buy.
